This is a great opportunity to reach out into the Holt Community and bring a friend to church. We are sending out a huge mailing to the Holt Community, so be ready to meet someone new, while enjoying the fellowship of family and friends.

It will be a great day of family fun with games, inflatables, water slide, and lots of outdoor fun. Bring a dish to pass to serve 18 people and beverages for your family. JLC will provide the meat and place settings.

If you are being baptized, bring a towel and change of clothes. Journey Kids who want to be baptized should talk with Pastor Lisa about attending the baptism class on Saturday, June 15.

Everyone loves a good story. Jesus was a master story teller, using parables—earthly stories with heavenly meanings - to teach vital spiritual truths. Many of these parables were an attempt to get at and change the common religious misconceptions of the day.

Join us for the next several weeks as we dig into the parables of Jesus, gain a deeper understanding of Truth and find the relevance that the Words of Jesus have for us today.

Prayer Requests

• Continued provision and open doors into the community for Christ
• Spiritual protection from discouragement as we continue adjusting to the culture and learn the language
• Continued healing for Belinda who was diagnosed with cancer in January, 2012, but after treatment and surgery remains cancer free
• There is a history of spiritual opposition to those ministering in Costa Rica in this position, with the enemy working hard to “take out” those leading this team. Pray for extra protection over the Preston family.

Who is Matt Keller?

Matt Keller is the founding lead pastor of the 9th fastest growing church in America today, Next Level Church in Fort Myers, Florida. What started out as a handful of people in a coffee shop is now a thriving church impacting over 2,500 people each weekend.

Matt is a passionate and inspirational nationwide speaker, who relationally coaches hundreds of leaders and pastors through Next Level Coaching. What started as several one-on-one meetings soon morphed into virtual group coaching, on-sites and staff/team teaching with churches, businesses and organizations of all kinds. He truly is a leader of leaders, encouraging them and guiding them through practical steps to take their leadership to the Next Level. As a husband, father, leading pastor, speaker, writer and coach, he leads by example. Matt has authored two books, Up the Middle Church and a new book, God of the Underdogs, scheduled to release fall 2013.

What is the One-Day Leadership Event?

One-Day Leadership Events are an opportunity to pour into the lives and ministries of countless pastors, staff and high-level leaders throughout churches in the Mid-Michigan area. They will hear the nuts and bolts of leadership up close with Next Level Church Lead Pastor Matt Keller. Our prayer is that they will leave encouraged and equipped to take their churches to the Next Level and impact their own communities through transformed lives.

How can you be involved?

• Pray for the pastors and church leaders who will be attending to be equipped and encouraged in their areas of ministry.
• Pray for the communities represented by each church, that as each church goes to the Next Level in growth, many will take one step closer to Christ.
• We will be hosting this event. Contact the church office to see if we need volunteers.
